Preliminary specifications for termPIR® boards

The termPIR® boards are manufactured in thicknesses from 20 to 250 mm. The typical dimensions of a single board are 600 x 1200 mm and 1200 x 2400 mm.

Precisely milled edges increase thermal insulation, eliminates linear thermal bridges and facilitate the installation. It is possible to make cutters: FIT - flat cutter and TAG - tongue cutter. TAG cutter milling surface is smaller with a cutter depth of 15 mm.

Packing and Transport Recommendations

termPIR® insulating boards are packaged to allow them to be moved. Typical package height is 500 mm. The number of boards in the package depends on its thickness. The small package contains 600 x 1200 mm boards and a large 1200 x 2400 mm. Details in the table below:

Loading and unloading is done manually with single parcels or with a forklift equipped with a fork lift for several packages.

Caution!
The panels are susceptible to damage, even when they are in the package. Do not throw or roll packages. Transportation of insulation boards should be done in trucks for this purpose adapted to the following conditions:

  • the load box should be closed
  • The surface of the load box should be flat and free from dirt
  • The load must be fixed in such a way that it can not tip or slide
  • The truck must be fitted with straps for fixing the boards, under the mounting straps, the elastic pads should be laid. Tight belts no to tight to prevent boards deformation

When picking up the insulating boards, check the quantity and quality of the delivered product. The nonconformity should be described on the transport document and promptly reported. Damaged boards should be documented photographically.

Storage recommendations

  • store the packages in a dry place, do not lay directly on the substrate but on the supports
  • do not place heavy objects on the PIR boards that may cause damage
  • protect from weather conditions (UV radiation)
  • single boards should be vertically moved so that they do not break
